Transparent I. V. Frame Dressing

(With Notch)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Peel open the package and remove the sterile dressing. Remove paper

liner from dressing

2. Place dressing over the catheter wings so that the port is positioned at the end of the deep notch. Smooth each side of the dressing underneath the port hub

3. Smooth dressing edges to increase adhesion while removing paper frame.

4. Once paper frame is removed, place record label near to dressing for

documenting dressing change.

Removal Instructions

- Remove record label.

- Support the skin and catheter with finger pressure

while removing dressing

- To remove dressing, alternately stretch and release

the film section parallel to the skin to break the

adhesive bond.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Allow all preps and protectants to

dry thoroughly before dressing application. Peel the liner off the dressing.

2. Centre the transparent window

over the insertion site. Keep the

notched portion off the skin.

3. Press the clear part of the dressing into place ensuring securement around the catheter.

4. Slightly overlap the soft cloth tabs under the hub to form a tight seal press into place. The hub should rest on the soft cloth.

5. While slowly peeling off the paper frame,

smooth down the dressing edges. Next smooth down the dressing from the centre towards the edges, using firm pressure to enhance adhesion.

6. Use the two sterile tape strips to secure

hub, lumens and/or tubing. Fold edge of sterile tape strip over itself making a small tab for easier removal. Label dressing according to protocol.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Peel open the package and remove the sterile dressing. Remove centre

cut-out.

2. Remove sterile pre-cut tape strips from centre cut-out.

3. Place the tape strips over the cannula wings for added security.

4. Peel paper liner from framed dressing, exposing adhesive surface.

5. Place dressing over cannula so that transparent film is over insertion site, Position the soft cloth tape section over the cannula wings with the port at end of deep notch. Overlap each side of the soft cloth tape underneath the port hub.

6. Remove paper frame. Smooth

dressing edges to increase adhesion.

7. Place record label near to dressing

for documenting dressing change.

- Remove record label

skin to break the adhesive bond

Carefully peel back soft cloth tape in the direction of hair growth

Carefully peel off the soft cloth strips

To cover and protect I.V. catheter sites
