Allow all preps and protectants to\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003edry thoroughly before dressing application. Peel the liner off the dressing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2. Centre the transparent window\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eover the insertion site. Keep the\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003enotched portion off the skin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e3. Press the clear part of the dressing into place ensuring securement around the catheter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e4. Slightly overlap the soft cloth tabs under the hub to form a tight seal press into place. The hub should rest on the soft cloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e5. While slowly peeling off the paper frame,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003esmooth down the dressing edges. Next smooth down the dressing from the centre towards the edges, using firm pressure to enhance adhesion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e6. Use the two sterile tape strips to secure\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ehub, lumens and\/or tubing. Fold edge of sterile tape strip over itself making a small tab for easier removal. Label dressing according to protocol. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTransparent IV. Remove sterile pre-cut tape strips from centre cut-out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e3. Place the tape strips over the cannula wings for added security.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e4. Peel paper liner from framed dressing, exposing adhesive surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e5. Place dressing over cannula so that transparent film is over insertion site, Position the soft cloth tape section over the cannula wings with the port at end of deep notch. Overlap each side of the soft cloth tape underneath the port hub.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e6. Remove paper frame. Smooth\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003edressing edges to increase adhesion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e7.
